Robot Doc

Role: Artist, Programmer, Designer, UI/UX

A two-person team decided to create a match-three type game with the mechanics of the popular Jelly Splash, Dungeon Raid Saga, and Puzzles and Dragons. The player is a doctor, fixing robots in different factories that have been infested by virtual bugs by matching enemy types with offensive objects. As of current, the game is a barebones engine with the first couple of levels unlocked for testing purposes.

I assisted in the creation of a collapse-style engine to be used as a template for future prototype games with similar mechanics in C#/Unity projects, developed the interface using NGUI elements, in addition to navigation and dynamic level generation format and content referenced from external XML files. There was a multitude of varying thematic and gameplay decisions that appeal to the specified target audience and keeping certain elements so that both casual and midcore players can enjoy which we tackled prior to construction of  the project. Proper code structure and standard programming practices were used in conjunction with a handoff document for the  next team to further develop this outside of  the prototyping phase.
